The changes in our family since starting services have been amazing. We are a home school family. Our 11 year old was just diagnosed ASD last summer. For so long we struggled thinking it was our failure as parents or behavior/immaturity that we ‘hoped’ he would grow out of, and not knowing what to do. We were overwhelmed and discouraged.
Our ABA team helped us to learn it was not our fault, that it wasn’t anything we were doing wrong; we just didn’t have the right tools for the job, so to speak. Now, we have the right ‘tools’ and support. And our once unhappy, angry, and struggling family is thriving, happy and peaceful. Of course we still have difficult days, but, with the help of our ABA team, I know we will be successful and our son has the best opportunity for a happy, successful and productive future!
